Space Explorers’ virtual missions, experiments, and data analysis tools were founded upon the idea that students involved in the excitement of NASA missions could be highly motivated to pursue careers in math, science, and technology fields. Along with providing Internet based science curricula, Space Explorers also provides teachers with professional development opportunities and workshops to further enhance their science teaching abilities.

Total Solar Eclipse Nearing
On August 1, viewers in the northeastern portion of North America will be able to see a partial solar eclipse. Due to the Moon's umbral shadow, Canada, central Russia, China, northern Greenland, the Arctic, and Mongolia will see a total solar eclipse. The Moon's penumbral shadow will allow North America, Asia, and most of Europe to see the partial eclipse rather than the total solar eclipse. Click here for safe viewing tips, and please visit the Space Library® for more information.
